Patricia Ritter lives in Cumberland County, Kentucky
Patricia’s artwork has been exhibited at the Speed Museum of Louisville, The Headley-Whitley Museum in Lexington and she was chosen to be part of the “Kentucky Women Artists—1850 to 2000” exhibit at the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art. She is a juried, exhibiting member of the KY Guild of Artists & Craftsmen; the Sheltowee Guild of Artisans; the Visual Arts at the Market Program and is a Roster Artist with the Kentucky Arts Council.
Self-taught in her chosen mediums, Patricia's art reflects the beauty she sees in the world. “My work is filled with the magic of light, colors and shadows. I am drawn to the details of old homes and structures; the lay of the land in each season and still lifes provide me with an opportunity to gather objects of my choosing and play with the arrangement and content.”
Her art has received numerous purchase awards and honors and she was Winner of the 2001 “Best of Show Award” at Mammoth Cave National Park’s Annual Juried Arts Exhibition, along with being the artist-in-residence at the Park in 2000.
