January 2012
Etsy, Inc. purchased a Cooper Woodworkiing box for their corporate collection!
and
Patricia has received three VSA Inclusion Project awards to work with students creating small sculptures,
murals and more during spring of 2012.  She has also received a TN Arts Commission Mini-Grant to create a
mural with students at Maple Grove, the smallest school in TN.

December 2011
Gary won an Award Of Excellence for his woodworking at the Greater Cinncinati Winter Fair! 
Five were awarded out of 200 exhibitors.
Patricia has two paintings in the annual Artworks exhibition at The Presbyterian Church gallery
 in Bowling Green, KY. The show runs from Dec. 3rd through January 1st.

Patricia will be at The Goodlettsville, TN Middle School in November helping two 5th grade classes design and paint a mural in the main hallway of their school - funding through a Mini-Grant with The TN Arts Commission.

Finding Your Visual Voice through Collage Art Workshop - July 16, 2011, Berea, KY

Create meaningful, insightful and delightful collage art during this fun and colorful workshop. Each participant will receive a hard-bound journal/sketchbook and art materials to go on a journey of self-discovery using your visual language to express yourself.  Each participant receives a hard bound journal to keep - and artist provides varied and wonderful art materials, papers, scissors and glue - along with instruction and encouragement.  No art experience necessary.  Ages 16 and up.

Children's Pastel Class - ages 8 - 12 - Gallery on The Square, Franklin, KY

Saturday, July 23rd 1- 3:30 pm: Children's Pastel Class
Taught by Guild member, Patricia Ritter 
Level: Ages 8-12
Cost: $20 which includes a basic set of pastels for you to keep.
Creating artwork with soft chalk is a cross between drawing and painting-and Is a fun and colorful experience!  We will do some warm-up exercises and a practice painting together to learn how to use the pastels-and then everyone will work on creating their own beautiful landscape painting.  Artist will provide landscape photos to choose from-or please bring your own.  Call 270-586-8055 to register.

SPECIAL SCIENCE/ART PROJECT IN BOWLING GREEN - March 2011

Pat was chosen to partner with art teacher Kim Soule to work with 7th and 8th grade students at Drakes Creek Middle School.  VSA of KY funded this very special opportunity for the students to learn about groundwater pollution - and Pat showed the students her watercolors of rivers and creeks.  She led the students in creating their own beautiful paintings of water flowing around rocks in a creek bed.  You can read through the Blog and see photos of the students' work at http://dcmsart.blogspot.com/ 

DECEMBER 2010
Patricia has been awarded a TIP grant from the Kentucky Arts Council to create a mural with students
at Lebanon Elementary School in Marion County, KY and has also received a grant through VSA of Kentucky
to create a mural with students at the Warren County Juvenile Detention Center.

OCTOBER 2010
Patricia's watercolor "Evening on the Cumberland" is featured in the Introduction to
The South Central Regional Of Kentucky - page 47 of the beautiful book Discover ART in Kentucky,
published by The Kentucky Arts Council as a guidebook to artists and arts venues across the state.
